One deck. Every monster.

Every culture on Earth has a monster it swears is real. Portentum puts them all in one deck. You draft cryptids from around the world, build them into a team, and send them into battles that play out on their own. Your job is everything that happens before the first die lands.

Folklore from around the world

Mothman. Bigfoot. Nessie. The Chupacabra. The Yeti. The Kasai Rex. If somebody's uncle saw it in the woods in 1973, there's a good chance it's a card in Portentum. Every creature gets hand-painted art and its own way of wrecking the other side of the board.

A raccoon named Jimothy

Every other cryptid in Portentum has spent centuries avoiding cameras. Jimothy walked down a Seattle street in July and let seven million people watch.

Deck builder

Before a run, build a deck of 30 cryptids and mushrooms. Each cryptid is equipped with its own unique ability to deal damage, heal, summon a minion, manipulate the dice, and many other one-of-a-kind effects. Abilities can trigger upon a roll of the dice, another ally taking damage, or an enemy healing an ally. There are endless combinations and broken strategies to be discovered.

Shop, build, battle

The shop deals a hand from your selected deck for that run. Spend coins to play cards from your hand, build a warband, and then send it to fight. Battles roll dice, resolve abilities, and continue to run until one team remains. Win ten rounds to win the run. Lose five, and you are out.

A legendary soundtrack

Find yourself in flow state to the unique sounds of Portentum. It's as unique, eerie, weird, and mesmerizing as many of the cryptids you'll find in Portentum.

Forever evolving meta

Keep playing, and earn card packs, unlocking entirely new deck-building possibilities to discover combos that are completely broken. Every warband you build joins the pool that other players face, so the meta keeps shifting as new strategies surface.
